Therefore, you need to register in the system for sending applications to the university to get acquainted with the exact entry requirements before you start working on the preparation of the supporting documents. 

The applications and documents for all universities in the UK are sent online or by email. 

If you are applying for the first higher education, you need to register in the online system UCAS, through which applications for admission to undergraduate programs in all British universities are submitted. The system allows to send the same application to 5 universities. 

Those who enter the postgraduate programs will apply on the selected university website, for which it will be necessary to register on all universities websites in which the applicant enters.

For programs with low competition from the applicant will require minimum effort to prepare the application. And if you have chosen a top university - get ready to work on the application seriously.

Regardless of the competition, most universities in Great Britain will require a motivation letter, recommendation and a document on previous education.

The following documents are required for admission to universities in the UK:

✔ The motivation letter

An essay in which the applicant tells what profession and why he chooses and how the program he/she goes to, will help him /her in this choice. 

Motivation letter also known as Personal Statement or SOP (Statement of Purpose) is crucial document for admission to most universities in the UK.

✔ A recommendation letter

A recommendation or characteristic to a student given by his teacher or employer is a mandatory document for admission to some undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Often requesting this document from a recommender at home, a student may receive a counter-request “write something and I will sign it”.

✔ Curriculum Vitae

When entering a foreign university for master's and some bachelor's programs, a resume or CV will be required.

CV is an opportunity to talk about the merits and the applicant’s achievements, not shown in the education qualifications. Try to fit your CV on one A4 page and write about what you have achieved, not just what you did.

✔ The document confirming previous education

The main document based on which the University decides to enrol an applicant is a document confirming the previous education. 

Most often, an applicant submits an application to a British university, not yet having a final diploma for last education.

If the certificate of complete secondary education is not received or the bachelor's diploma is not received, the applicant should send to the university provisional grades document and its translation. 

If your previous education was not in English, you will need to pass a test that confirms your English proficiency.

For admission to some specialities, you will need to prepare a portfolio or pass additional tests.

The good news is that there are not many such specialities: you need a creative portfolio for design and architecture related courses, a GMAT test for business and finance at top universities, BMAT for medicine.

Some universities charge fees from £20 to £50.

The payment is made after the applicant completes all fields of an online application all fields for admission.

UCAS also has a fee, but if you apply through us, for you this fee is already included in any package that you would decide to choose!

If you have prepared the application yourself, postpone submitting it for 1-2 days (of course if deadlines allow so) to carefully check everything again.
